Even though the rain fall per square meter and year couldn’t even fill a Coca Cola can (0,3 liters/m²), the valley in the south of Egypt is a very fertile environment. That’s because of the groundwater existence under the desert sand. Thousands of years ago Kharga was an important station for trade caravans on their trip from Egypt to the Sudan.</p>
