I Love Paris In The Springtime.
Paris is known as the City of Love. To be honest, I don’t even really know why … Sure, the city is stunningly beautiful with lots of amazing sights and cute side alleys but that can’t be all can it? I mean, “The City of Love” is pretty big. Does it have to do with the fact that the French are the masters of love ( … so I heard lol)? Hmmm … Anyway, someone once told me that Paris is called the City of Love because each year millions of people come here to spend some romantic time. Then they return home delighted and spread the word. Paris is a strong brand because it keeps delivering its love promise. It’s as simple as that.
Paris is indeed the perfect setting for a romantic moment because its beauty strikes you at every corner. Its elegant yet impressive architecture, the legends that stick to its iconic monuments, and the subtle combination of art, history and nature are a perfect romantic getaway spot. Yeah yeah, romance and all the crap around it is fine but (for me) it wouldn’t be a reason to travel to Paris.
I enjoyed Paris because of it’s hip quarters, stylish people and super cute little design shops. I don’t like touristy spots but even if you’re not a fan, it’s hard to refrain from visiting these … Why? Well, you can’t visit Paris and not see the Eiffel Tower!? Sure, its a totally overrated sight but if you’re there anyway, it’s still worth a look. Paris has so many famous sights and landmarks, that you’ll get to one eventually; whether you’re strolling around the heart of Le Marais or walking along the The Seine river, some impressive building will cross your way for sure. Oh, since we’re talking about the district Le Marais … be sure to take your time in this historic part of Paris. Not only because of the Hôtel Soubise or Hôtel de Sens but also because you’ll find the most amazing design shops.
I really can’t wait to visit Paris again – maybe in the fall? I’m not quite sure yet but luckily Vienna is not that far away, so a weekend trip can be arranged easily and finding flights to Paris is pretty simple too.

I liked your blog a lot because I’m also a photo-traveler.
I really enjoyed this article, it is pretty well filled and as a long time parisien being, I love to read and discover how nice foreigners see my city. According to your text and the typical landmarks pictures you’ve uploaded, I’m affraid you missed something: The Foooood!
I wish that I’m wrong!
There is a lot of cheap and extraordinary hidden places to go out. But it’s hard to find the right ones especially when you don’t come often. I will be back from my travel this autumn.
I think these are the righteous ingredients for lover to call this city the name it bears.
But it is also a kind of way to leave the city without moving.
Next time you plan to come back, gimme eventually a shout if you need a local guide for interesting places to discover and eventually share some photo hike sessions.

First of all, thank for your lovely comment ;) I have to say that you’re right, I totally missed the great food. But then again, I didn’t have that much time to really experience that part as much as I wanted to … next time I’m planning to go there (I hope soon), I will totally write you for some insider tips ;)
